It's stress-free living because my choices are limited. He was born Michael Patrick McConaughey on August 2, 1954, in Houston, Texas, to James Donald McConaughey and Mary Kathlene McCabe. And it's hard work to keep them light, to keep the comedy buoyant. In fact, his parents adopted him in 1964. Has his own line of clothing, called "j.k. livin", named for his life's motto, "Just keep living", which is also the name of his charitable foundation.
